It all Started with dislocated guitar bridge
Our story is ironic.
The whole idea of guitar making started a long time ago with a dislocated guitar bridge. One night I was devastated to find out that the bridge of my valuable guitar was dislocated. I contacted the manufacturer who advised me to repair at a local luthier. That’s how I met Robert, a Cello and Violin maker in my hometown. While repairing the guitar, he spontaneously asked me if I would be interested in guitar making. I said yes but I don’t know how to. Immediately he offered to teach me and he did. After working together on the first guitar, Robert said:
“I’m travelling for three months. Here are the keys of my workshop. If upon my return I see that you were able to make a good guitar, then we will become partners.”
Thank you Robert for teaching me this refined craft.
Thank you for visiting our workshop. Robert Wissam guitars are handmade from high grade solid wood selected from various origins. We choose and use the finest types of first and master grade tops such as Englemann, German, split German Spruce or Red Cedar.
Making a guitar is a long process, so you will only find a few guitars in our stock. A custom order guitar usually takes an eight to twelve weeks time to construct.
